The Museum will be closed for maintenance from January 6 to 10. We will reopen for the weekend January 11 and 12 (weather dependent). We will close again from Jan 13 to 17 and reopen for the rest of the season on January 18. Thank you for your understanding.

Welcome to Amesbury

Originally part of Salisbury, MA (1640), “New Town,” on the left bank of the Powwow River (a tributary of the Merrimack) officially became Amesbury in 1668. Formerly a farming and mill town, this northern Massachusetts community is mostly residential today.
