At the annual Correspondent’s Dinner, an armed man attempted to charge past a security checkpoint into the dinner. He shot and injured one Secret Service agent before being apprehended by law enforcement. Federal prosecutors charged him with three counts, including attempting to assassinate the president. The following Thursday, April 30th, the U.S. attorney for DC released a video of the incident.
