A search and rescue mission begins for a tourist submersible on an expedition to the wreckage of the Titanic. The vessel, operated by OceanGate, lost contact several hours after beginning the journey days prior. All five members are presumed to be dead after a “catastrophic implosion” likely destroyed the submersible long before oxygen on board ran out.
