Los Caprichos

Los Caprichos, or The Caprices, is a set of 80 prints by Spanish artist Francisco Goya, first published in 1799, in which Goya uses his art to criticize Spanish society, especially its superstitions and ignorance. This Dover edition reproduces one of the six known pre-first-edition proof sets, from the collection of Philip Hofer, who writes the introduction. (1969 reprint, paperback)
