R. Kelly Convicted

Former music artist R. Kelly is convicted on nine counts of racketeering with underlying acts of sexual exploitation of a child, bribery, kidnapping, and sex trafficking after a six week trial in New York. The crimes are alleged to have been committed from 1994 to 2018 with prosecutors testifying that the purpose of the R. Kelly entourage and enterprise being to promote R. Kelly’s music and recruit women and children to engage in sexual activities including the creation of pornography and child pornography.
