School Safety Bill

A bill regarding school safety is passed by the House of Representatives, but no explicit gun restrictions are included in the legislation. The bill is set to increase the budget for metal detectors, security, and locks and comes as a direct result of the Parkland Shooting the previous month. On the same day, students across the United States organize walkouts to pay respects to victims of gun violence and protest for stricter laws concerning gun saftey.
